K⁺ channel activator

A selective ATP-sensitive K⁺ (K_ATP) channel opener. It is the active metabolite of minoxidil (Prod. No. BML-KC125) and is a potent (IC₅₀=0.14 µM) vascular smooth muscle relaxant. Antihypertensive. Stimulates renin secretion.
