PKC inhibitor

Reported to be a potent and selective inhibitor of protein kinase C (IC₅₀=0.66µM). Although chelerythrine has numerous documented biological effects, studies have raised serious doubts about the effectiveness of chelerythrine as a PKC inhibitor.
