What could be the reason when no red fluorescence is detected in a sample containing both live and dead cells if the blue DAPI works well and the protocols were followed as recommended?
The filter settings should be checked to determine that they are optimal. Since the blue signal is stronger than the red signal, a longer exposure for the red dye would address the issue.
