In the reformulated BIOMOL® Green, BML-AK111, Tergitol15-S-9 replaces NP-40 detergent. While NP-40 is nonionic (no charge), would the switch cause any change in the overall properties or reaction rates?
Tergitol15-S-9 is also non-ionic in nature and this switch from a chemically similar detergent should not affect rates of reaction given similar properties.
