This monoclonal antibody detects CD63, a tetraspanin protein commonly used as a marker for exosomes and lysosomal trafficking.
CD63 is a member of the tetraspanin family and is involved in intracellular trafficking, cell adhesion, and immune signaling. It is widely used as an exosome marker and has been linked to tumor progression and immune responses.

Immunofluorescence staining of CD63 in MCF7 cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with CD63 monoclonal antibody (1:60) at 4°C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor® 488-conjugated Goat Anti-mouse IgG secondary antibody(green).
Flow cytometric analysis of Human CD63 expression on MCF-7 cells. Cells were stained with purified anti-Human CD63, then a FITC-conjugated second step antibody. The histogram were derived from gated events with the forward and side light-scatter characteristics of intact cells.
