The anti-Sox2 antibody is designed for the detection of human Sox2 by immunohistochemistry.
Sox2 (SRY-box transcription factor 2) is a member of the SOX family of transcription factors characterized by the presence of a high-mobility group (HMG) DNA-binding domain. Sox2 is critically important for the maintenance of pluripotency in embryonic stem cells by regulating genes involved in self-renewal and differentiation. It forms complexes with other transcription factors like Oct4 and Nanog to activate or repress target gene expression.
