The AMPIXTRACT™ Magnetic Bead DNA Extraction Kit provides an efficient magnetic bead-based method for extracting residual host cell DNA from biopharmaceutical samples. Designed as the front-end sample preparation step for the AMPIGENE® Host Cell DNA Detection Kits (qPCR and dPCR), this kit delivers high-purity DNA suitable for sensitive downstream quantification.

The streamlined protocol uses Proteinase K digestion followed by magnetic bead capture to efficiently recover trace-level DNA from complex matrices. The kit is compatible with all our host cell DNA detection workflows.

Residual host cell DNA (HCD) is a critical process-related impurity in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Regulatory agencies including the FDA, EMA, and WHO require quantitative monitoring of residual HCD to ensure patient safety. Efficient DNA extraction from complex biopharmaceutical matrices is essential for accurate downstream detection by qPCR or dPCR methods.
