The ZytoLight ® SPEC SPI1 Dual Color Break Apart Probe is designed to detect rearrangements affecting the chromosomal region 11p11.2 harboring the SPI1 gene. SPI1 is a member of the ETS family of transcription factors and is essential for the normal development of hematopoietic stem cells. SPI1 rearrangement were detected in some pediatric T-ALL cases.
