The ZytoLight ® SPEC NUP214 Dual Color Break Apart Probe is designed for the detection of translocations involving the chromosomal region 9q34.13 harboring the NUP214 gene. Rearrangements of the NUP214 gene have been implicated in the pathogenesis of several types of hematologic malignancies, including T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (T-ALL), acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and also myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS).
