Cell permeable, selective and potent inhibitor of nicotinic acid adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NAADP) receptor in mammalian cells and sea urchin eggs. Blocks NAADP signaling. Inhibits Ca2+ release: trans-Ned-19 (IC50 = 6nM); cis-Ned-19 (IC50 = 800nM). [32P] NAADP binding: trans-Ned-19 (IC50 = 0.4nM); cis-Ned-19 (IC50 = 15µM).Inhibits Ca2+ release from lysosomes. Noncompetitive antagonist. Fluorescent.
NAADP (nicotinic acid adenine dinucleotide phosphate) is an emerging Ca2+ releasing second messenger in several mammalian tissues including pancreatic, brain and cardiac tissue.
