Analog of the natural signal molecule cyclic AMP in which the hydrogen in position 8 of the heterocyclic nucleobase is replaced by the lipophilic 4-chlorophenylthio moiety, and the ribose 2’-hydroxyl group has been methylated. In addition, the axial one of the two exocyclic oxygen atoms in the cyclic phosphate moiety is modified by sulfur. The suffix “p” indicates that the R/S nomenclature refers to phosphorus atom.
Hydrolysis-resistant form of 8-pCPT-2’-O-Me-cAMP (Prod. no. BLG-C041), a specific activator of the exchange protein directly activated by cyclic AMP (Epac) or cAMP-GEF, respectively. The compound does not activate protein kinase A, has high lipophilicity and membrane permeability and is not metabolized by phosphodiesterases.
BLG-C052-05 (5 x 1 µmol pack size) is not sold in the U.S. or Canada. Please contact us for available options.
