A potent inhibitor of histone H2A ubiquitylation. Inhibits RNF2 and Ring1A, both of which are found in polycomb repressive complex 1 (PRC1). Does not inhibit RNF8 or RNF168. Inhibits accumulation of ubiquitin around DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) as well as the repair of DSBs.
