A new cell death receptor was identified and designated DR3, Wsl-1, Apo-3, TRAMP and LARD, respectively. The ligand for this cell death receptor is TWEAK(Apo-3L). DR3 is highly expressed in PBL and in tissues enriched in lymphocytes including thymus and spleen. Like TNF-R1, DR3 induces apoptosis and NF-κB activation.
