Sequence is pp60v-src (137-157), which is located in the SH3/SH2 domain region. Non-competitive inhibitor of Src and EGFR. Selectively inhibits protein tyrosine phosphorylation in cell extracts. Peptide is not phosphorylated by Src. IC50=7.5 µM for v-Src. Inhibitory target seems to be a catalytic negative regulatory domain of the tyrosine kinase.
