Ca²⁺ channel antagonist. Highly potent at L-type channels. Block some low-voltage activated Ca²⁺ channels. Enhances memory in old or brain-damaged animals. Ameliorates experimental diabetic neuropathy in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. Vasodilator.
