Methyl-β-cyclodextrin (100 mM)

Athena offers 3 different individual ready-to-use cyclodextrin buffers: natural cyclodextrins β-cyclodextrin and α-cyclodextrin and 1 chemically modified cyclodextrin: methyl-β-cyclodextrin. Cyclodextrins are used in the second step of a two-step protein refolding protocol. The three selected cyclodextrins have been shown to enhance the refolding and solubility of proteins by binding the detergents which have been used during the first step of protein refolding.
