Prostanoid receptor ligand

Less potent than LTD₄ in smooth muscle contractile activity and mucus secretion in airways. Reduces myocardial contractility and coronary blood flow. Induces long lasting hypotension and airway hyperresponsiveness. Partial agonist at LTD₄ receptors. LTE₄ solely activates a CysLT₁ receptor. Biosynthesis from LTD₄ by a dipeptidase.
