
Kaempferol is a flavonoid present in various natural sources including red wines and the leaves of Gingko biloba [1,2]. Kaempferol was found to inhibit COX-2 expression in colon cancer cells [3]. It is cytotoxic to human leukemic cell lines [4]. Its cytotoxicity and chemopreventive activities may be attributed to its ability to induce apoptosis [5].
