FLUOR DE LYS® Developer II is an essential reagent for signal generation in assays done with the FLUOR DE LYS®-HDAC8, FLUOR DE LYS®-SIRT1 and FLUOR DE LYS®-SIRT2 substrates. Deacetylation of the FLUOR DE LYS® substrate sensitizes it so that, in a second step, treatment with the FLUOR DE LYS® Developer II produces a fluorophore. Typically, an ‘inhibitor stop’ will be included in the 1x Developer dilution (e.g. nicotinamide for sirtuins).
