DMACM-caged cAMP is an only weakly fluorescent, caged precursor of 8- bromo cyclic AMP, which upon irradiation, releases both 8-Br-cAMP and a fluorescent coumarin analogue. High lipophilicity and membrane permeability; thus only limited solubility in aqueous systems.
