Axial isomer. DEACM-caged cGMP is an only weakly fluorescent, caged precursor of the second messenger cyclic GMP, which upon irradiation, releases both cGMP and a fluorescent coumarin analogue. High lipophilicity and membrane permeability; but still reasonable solubility in aqueous systems.
