Cyclodextrin Screening Kit

The AthenaES™ Cyclodextrin Screening Kit allows researchers to easily and simply determine which cyclodextrin is best for refolding their protein. The kit contains 10mL of each of 2 natural cyclodextrins: β-cyclodextrin and α-cyclodextrin and 1 chemically modified cyclodextrin: methyl-β-cyclodextrin. Cyclodextrins are used in the second step of a two-step protein refolding protocol. The three selected cyclodextrins have been shown to enhance the refolding and solubility of proteins by binding detergents which have been used during the first step of protein refolding.
