Copper bis-3,5-diisopropylsalicylate

A superoxide dimutase compound that inhibits protein kinase C in rat liver and reduces the activity of TPA stimulated protein kinase C [1]. It is shown that a pretreatment of normal goblet cells of the colonic mucosa by this material sensitizes them to apoptosis induced by sodium deoxycholate (bile salt) [2].
