The fluorophore is supposed to have a certain sensitivity for its environment and can change its spectral properties upon binding. Useful for research into dGTP-dependent receptor proteins. Potential inhibitor of various adenylyl cyclase isoforms and soluble guanylyl cyclase (sGC).
