Ca²⁺ channel inhibitor

Selectively blocks low threshold (T-type) calcium channel (K_D=30μM) with no effect on L-type channels or tetrodotoxin Na⁺ channels. Inhibits the epithelial tetrodotoxin insensitive Na⁺ channel (IC₅₀ =1μM). Clinically useful K⁺ sparing diuretic.
