
Aclacinomycin A, or Aclarubicin, is a specific inhibitor of the 20S proteasome chymotrypsin-like activity and calpain activity. Aclacinomycin A also can form a stable complex with DNA, and in doing so inhibits the synthesis of nucleic acids. It was originally identified as an antitumor agent. Cell permeable.
