8-Br-7-CH-NAD+ is an analogue of β-NAD+ in which the hydrogen in position 8 of the adenine nucleobase is replaced by bromine. In addition, the nitrogen atom in position 7 of the adenine imidazole ring is replaced by carbon and hydrogen, respectively. A potential substrate, competitive inhibitor or regulator of enzymes that interact with β-NAD+.
