Fluorescent DNA binding agent

Fluorescent, intercalating DNA-binding agent useful for identifying apoptotic cells by flow cytometry. Capable of identifying populations representing live, apoptotic, and late apoptotic/dead cells in a quick, simple, reproducible, cost-effective fashion. Inhibitor of DNA-primed RNA polymerase and DNA polymerase. Cytochemical probe. Exhibits growth-inhibitory activity against certain leukemias and sarcomas. has antibacterial properties.
