DNA methyltransferase inhibitor

Inhibitor of DNA methyltransferase. Restores mRNA and protein expression of caspase-8 and TRAIL (tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis inducing ligand) sensitivity of resistant cell lines. Enhances apoptosis induced by HDAC (histone deacetylase) inhibitors. Reverses embryonic stem cell differentiation by demethylating differentiation-related genes.
