2-Biotin-AHA-cAMP is an analogue of the natural signal molecule cyclic AMP in which the hydrogen in position 2 of the heterocyclic nucleobase is replaced by a long spacer, carrying a biotin at its end.
- Analogue of cyclic AMP with biotin conjugate most probably suitable as tracer in immunoassays for the measurement of cAMP concentrations,
- biotin as primary probe allows for flexible end point determinations with commercially available labeled streptavidin derivatives.
In spite of its modification, 2-Biotin-AHA-cAMP could be still sensitive against phosphodiesterases. For corresponding PDE-resistant structures, such as phosphorothioate-modified congeners or other types of spacers please inquire.
