The kit ADI-EKS-895 is specific for human Hsp90a and will not react with human Hsp90ß. Human Hsp90a and Hsp90ß are encoded by different genes (HSP90AA1 and HSP90AB1, respectively) and they share approximately 85% amino acid sequence identity. While Hsp90ß is expressed constitutively to a high level, Hsp90a is stress-inducible and is reported to be overexpressed in several cancer cells.
