Problems may arise when working with rabbit sera because the kit relies on the use of an anti-rabbit IgG. This kit could potentially be used for samples containing endogenous rabbit IgG if they were to be removed using a MWCO filter or an IgG removal kit prior to running the assay. However, it should be noted that it is not something that has been tested in-house and any optimization would have to be performed by the end user. Szeto A et al., 2013 successfully used rabbit plasma with this kit
