We recommend determining concentration and purity of the genomic DNA using the nucleic acid module of a NanoDrop UV-VIS Spectrophotometer (Thermo Scientific) or equivalent. The A260/A280 ratio should be approximately 1.8 and A260/A230 ratio should be 2.0 or greater. Significant deviation from these ratios suggests the presence of contaminants and indicates that the sample should be repurified.
