ProteoStat®TS Detection Reagent in ProteoStat® Thermal Shift Stability Assay Kit, ENZ-51027, and ProteoStat®Detection Reagentin ProteoStat® Protein Aggregation Assay, ENZ-51023, are similar but not identical.  The dyes were developed and optimized to meet specific objectives.  The dye in the aggregation assay kit has high sensitivity to detect aggregates in submicromolar range in a broad range of aggregated targets.  This dye provides a wide linear dynamic range (at least 2 orders of magnitude) and can be used for quantitative analysis of protein aggregate formation in conjunction with an appropriate set of standards.  The dye in the thermal shift stability assay kit minimally fluoresces under standard aqueous condition.  As it binds to the surface of aggregated proteins, as they are formed during temperature shifts, the dye emits strong red signals which can be measured.  The dye has a sharp transition and has been benchmarked with IgG, lysozyme, T7 polymerase, carbonic anhydrase, bacteriorhodopsin and ß-lactoglobulin.
