The deacetylated standard included in the kit can be used to create a standard curve giving the relationship between deacetylated substrate concentration and fluorescence (AFU). As the reagent name implies, it is already deacetylated and, therefore, does not need to be incubated with SIRT1 to react with the FLUOR DE LYS® Developer II and to generate a fluorescent signal.
