The Golgi-green dye in the ORGANELLE-ID-RGB® III assay kit (ENZ-51032) is a fluorescent lipid analog which is transported directly into Golgi bodies and interacts with endogenous lipids of the organelle. The dye binds to the luminal side of the golgi membrane. The red dye component of the reagent stains the endoplasmic reticulum. We have not characterized specific protein binding with the detection reagent.
