Cited sample types include cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), culture supernatants, feces, plasma, saliva, serum, tissue lysate, and urine. In general, the same rule applies: as long as there is enough analyte present and the values are still within range of the standard curve after they had been diluted sufficiently to eliminate matrix interference, the assay should work fine.
