Yes, our FLUOR DE LYS® fluorometric activity assay kit (BML-AK500) has been developed to work with tissue/cell lysates, immunoprecipitates or inhibitor screening using the nuclear extract provided. Please note that Enzo Life Sciences offers a kit specifically dedicated to the monitoring of HDAC activity in cell culture (BML-AK503). This kit provides the reagents (i.e. nuclear extract from HeLa cells, Fluor-de-Lys substrate, Fluor-de-Lys deacetylated standard, trichostatin A, nicotinamide, cell lysis buffer etc.) and protocols needed for determining rates of intracellular deacetylase activity with cultured cells.
