Yes, the desalting resin provided with the Calcineurin cellular activity assay kit (BML-AK816) can be reused for multiple samples. Between samples, the column should be rinsed with 4-5 volumes of phosphate free water, and then re-equilibrated with lysis buffer before moving on to the next sample. The column will finally lose efficiency and samples coming off the column will test positive for free phosphate. When this happens the used resin should be discarded and the column can be refilled with the second half of the resin. The volume of resin provided in the kit allows you to fill the column twice. How many samples can be processed before the resin loses efficiency will vary depending upon the sample type and how much free phosphate they contain, but usually at least 5 or 6 samples can be run before efficiency starts to drop.
