Can test compound dissolved in DMSO be used in cell based assay to measure Reactive Oxygen Species with ROS-ID® Total ROS/Superoxide detection kit, ENZ-51010

We cannot confirm if dissolving the compound in DMSO could affect the assay, since DMSO could inhibit hydroxyl radical generation in the cells . We advise to include a suitable negative control experiment with the same amount of DMSO alone used in treated cells, to rule out the effects of DMSO in the cell based assay.
