Staining of yeast cells with Mito-ID® Red detection kit has not been tested. The kit could work in yeast cells with optimization in view of cell membrane permeability challenges for dye entry inside the cell. The dye may not efficiently penetrate into the yeast cells and the protocols would require some optimization.
