The buffer suggested in the kit insert has been optimized by our development scientists. It is likely that an alternative buffer will work, but only the lysis buffer mentioned in the kit insert has been tested. It is recommended that end users compare the components of their lysis buffer alongside the one recommended in the manual and to try few samples with the buffer of choice to see if it is possible to obtain sufficient lysis without compromising the assay or introducing interference of any kind. It is important to include in the buffer the appropriate inhibitors mentioned in the kit insert.
