Can cells be fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde with the CYTO-ID® Autophagy detection kits (ENZ-51031 and ENZ-KIT175)?

A fixation step may be included when using the CYTO-ID® Autophagy detection kits (ENZ-51031 and ENZ-KIT175), but it needs to be performed post-staining with the CYTO-ID® detection reagent. It is typically performed with 4% formaldehyde. Fixation of stained cells is described in the kit’s manual.
Please note that fixation may affect the quality of the staining. It is not an issue when using flow cytometry or microplate reader but should be considered when performing fluorescence or confocal microscopy.
